The hostel is located in the very city centre. It is within reach of the biggest landmarks of Budapest. While staying in Boomerang Hostel, there is no need to buy a bus or metro ticket as it is easy to walk almost everywhere. The staff are great, very helpful, always at your disposal. the only minus though is too little a kitchen. When all the guests are coming to have breakfast, it can get very crowded at a small table. Breakfast is basic, cheese is good though:) i would recommend staying in Boomerang Hostel:)))
We (3) were in a 4-bed room and we never had a 4th roommate show up. The bunkbeds were comfortable enough and the bathroom was a good size to accompany a 4-person room. If there had been a fourth person, it would have been quite tight moving around in the space. They had lockers in the corner that were able to hold a good size piece of luggage, so we felt our belongings were plenty safe.
I stayed at Boomerang Hostel in Budapest for 4 nights in February 2016, and it was a great experience! The staff was always helpful with different kinds of problems we had. They helped booking a spa apointment, they gave great tips about the city, and they helped me when I lost my wallet during the night. The wallet showed up a few days later when I had returned to Denmark; I had forgotten my wallet in a taxi, and the taxi driver came back to the hostel with the wallet, and then the staff at the hostel helped me and sent my wallet by post to Denmark. Fantastic!
The breakfast was above average, and the hostel is located very central; you can walk to bars, restaurants and sights.
Overall a great stay! :-)
Perfect location, simple, but clean rooms, and VERY friendly and helpful staff (Gina and Zsaru). Good breakfast. Happy in Bommerang hostel!
This hostel is very easily reached by metro, being next to Arany Janos station. Basic breakfast is provided every morning from 8-10am. Our private room was big and comfortable with clean sheets and towels provided. The shared toilets were big and clean.
Great location, with a simple breakfast provided. The private room was good and comfortable enough. Maybe the reception can actively point out places of interest near the hostel though or circle them on the map, instead of just circling the hostel's location on the map.
It's very near station that you wish. But in front of hostel is very old and dark and maybe so scare. You have to press number 11 to boomerang hostel that is telecom then staff will allow you to go there. The lift is old but usable. It's very nice. The staff were kind and friendly the speak english well and also recommended trip in Budapest. In front of hostel has Chinese restaurant that's very delicious. For next time i will there sure.
Everything was okay! The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Gina from the reception. The room and the showers are clean. They offer a free breakfast which is simple but comparing with the good price it is totally fine, can not complain. If you are traveling on low budget this pace could be a perfect choice.
Apartment - really recommend. When you coming to hostel or apartment, you don´t feel so much confidence, but reality is much more better. Sign of the hostel we haven´t seen and was going round in circles. Breakfast is very easy, but if you want only something to eat and drink, you have it.
